A Brief Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Ms. McKellar-Jones, and I teach English Language Arts. I'm from a very small town in northern New York. Fun fact: you can see Canada from my backyard!

In my free time, I love to binge Netflix shows (my personal favorite is Grey's Anatomy!) and read young adult literature in my free time. My most recent read is Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo.

I'm also a huge fan of musical theater! My favorite as of lately is Mamma Mia! 

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is that all children are unique and must have environments that match their personalities in order to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. My hope is that I will create a safe and nurturing community within my classroom by cultivating my relationships with each student and the relationships between my students. In my classroom, children will be able to share their ideas and take risks in a safe environment.
